Last year, one Sunday morning, I remember waking up and unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one awake.
See, I don’t know about you, but the morning is generally the best opportunity I have to be in peace and alone.
Now that day, I shouldn’t have expected much because somehow or other, I didn’t fully wake up until 8 am!!!
When I got up and eventually opened the door to leave my room, my 11-year-old was by the steps looking at me lovingly. Kind of like, “great...she's' awake...perfect...I need her!”
“Shoot,” I thought to myself, mainly because I knew I had a mountain of things I wanted to get through before going to church, my daughter needed some of my attention and I already had a late start.
But I proceeded downstairs, helped her get settled, and instead of jumping into getting some things done, just began to clean. I cleaned many of the areas of the house that were neglected during the week, because of time.
I got lost in my thoughts as I was cleaning. I began to think about the mornings when I was up before the sun, and the only thing that could be heard was snores from upstairs.
The 4:30 am mornings. Yes... 4:30 am! Those were the times when I was balancing a corporate career and growing a business. Those were the times when I had to “CREATE TIME.” My desire to grab my freedom and work for me alone was a burning one, so I did whatever was necessary to make it happen.
When you're "busy" but "determined," time is no longer something you "make." It's what you "create." So how about you? What's your time "creation" look like these days?
Show me your time creation and I'll show you the distance between where you are and where you desire to be.
In this episode, we will talk about...
